Acuvue Contact Lenses - Bringing Out The Best In Your Eyes

Contact lenses are small
optical
often soft
and remarkably thin lenses placed in the cornea of one's eye. They improve the vision
and sometimes the physical appearance
of eyes. Contact lenses are usually an alternative to traditional eyeglasses
correcting a person's vision without requiring them to wear ugly
awkward bifocals. However some people with naturally good eyesight still wear contacts
solely for cosmetic reasons - to enhance or change the color of their eye.
Unlike eyeglasses
contact lenses are not easily affected by weather
are not especially fragile
and actually (in most cases) do a better job at improving a person's eyesight. Not to mention
a glasses' framing immediately hinders a person's field of vision! This is not so with contact lenses that fit directly onto the eyeball and are practically invisible.
For those ready to scrap conventional
unfashionable eyeglasses
local eye care professionals will prescribe a brand of contact lenses to vision care patients and direct them to the appropriate retailer. Acuvue Contact Lenses is the most popular brand around. Acuvue Contact Lenses provides general vision lenses
color contact lenses (with 10 different shades)
and astigmatism and multifocal lenses. Acuvue Contact Lenses has also followed a recent trend of extended wear lenses. Generally
lenses are removed from the eye and set in a cleansing solution overnight
but other kinds of lenses are safe to wear for longer than 12 hours. Extended wear lenses are literally discarded after a certain length of time and replaced by another set.

Acupressure For The Face

In the last twenty years
alternative medicine from Asia has become popular. Acupressure for the face is a new approach that has come on the scene and is worth discussing.
Acupressure For The Face
Time takes a toll on our bodies
particularly our faces. There is just no hiding the damage of the sun
wrinkles and so on. Many people look to surgical lifts for a solution. Others
however
are nervous about the invasive nature of the surgery
possible side effects or the cost. A possible alternative for those not needing intensive repair is acupressure.
The results that you will get from an acupressure session are not going to be as dramatic or long lasting as those from traditional surgical options. Acupressure procedures are meant to be a holistic
massage-oriented alternative to having surgery
but are not to be considered on the same level. Acupressure is an ancient Chinese art of applying pressure to specific points on your body. This is believed to allow more blood and energy flow to the area that is pressed
which can correspond to other areas of the body. The results of acupressure have been seen for centuries by those practicing this craft.
Facial acupressure takes advantage of pressing these points on the face
and therefore allowing additional blood and oxygen to flow to these areas. This tightens the areas that are being massaged and pressed
leaving the client with a relaxed
youthful look. The facial area is massaged and stimulated with light pressure
which not only improves the facial circulation
but also helps to clean the facial lymph system. This technique also stimulates the underlying collagen of the face
which allows it to loosen and possibly regenerate faster
making the youthful look you get from the acupressure last.
Having an acupressure facial is not considered a medical procedure
but it is a certified practice by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. It is considered to be more intensive than a traditional facial which is commonly performed by a cosmetician. Some massage therapists will recommend more than one acupressure session to achieve full results
and you will want to consult with your therapist for the best course of action for your face.
Facial procedures are more and more common these days
but there are non-surgical options if you are not ready for the knife just yet. An acupressure session can give you a more youthful glow without surgery or any side effects. You also get the bonus of the relaxing technique of acupressure. It is a great compromise for those who need just a little help in the facial aging department.

Did you just wake up and go to the bathroom to freshen up and got the shock of your life? You see something odd on your forehead
that wasn't there the previous night when you went to bed. It looks ugly and you wish it would go away.
The What:
That ugly thing that pops up on our face when we least expect turning our world upside down is what an acne is. Also known as pimples
these are outburst through our skin pores thanks to all the grime and dirt that has accumulated there. It typically occurs during the adolescent phase in a person
say
during their teenage years. And some are lucky
they don't get acnes at all
while others see clusters of them on their face. It is not something that only girls get
there are boys who suffer from this as well. If you are lucky
it will last couple of days
and then disappear never to reappear again
but the unfortunate ones see signs of acne through their life
some of which leave behind scars.
The Why:
The most common kind of acne is the acne vulgaris which translates to common acne. The face is the region of the face that is affected in almost 90% of the cases
at times
people get it on their forearms or chest region. But those are called Keratosis
and not acne
since they are bigger in size and last longer than a common acne. It is basically eruptions in our skin due to dirt and other particles settling in. if the acne is very severe
and looks like a big boil
it could be a cyst
in which case one needs to be careful and not touch it too much. If they do
it might erupt
ooze with puss and not be a pretty sight.
The How:
For some
acne is such a big problem
that they think of skipping school or college. They don't want to face their friends for fear of being ridiculed. For some girls
hormonal changes in their body leads to acne
and for this there is no cure but to let nature takes it course. There is no need to panic or worry about these little boils
.as they are our body reacting to changes happening inside. If it is due to bad eating habits
or intake of oily foods on a regular basis
acne or pimples occur when the follicles are blocked and does not get enough oxygen. If you were to touch an acne and then use those fingers on other parts of your face
you might spread the infection and see more tiny pimples occurring over the next few days. So
it is better to control yourself and keep your hands away from your face and wash your face multiple times during the day. In the market
there are various products that claim to make the acne go away in a day or two
but be warned that they are miracles and not likely to disappear.

About comercial tanning beds

What is a Commercial Tanning Bed?
If you are looking to invest in a Tanning salon then you will need to purchase several commercial tanning beds. A commercial tanning bed is not the same as your in-home consumer tanning bed and there are at least two different styles to choose from.
What is a Commercial Tanning Bed?
A commercial tanning bed is a tanning unit that is designed to withstand the constant demands placed on it by repeatable use. Unlike a home unit these commercial tanning beds will be used several times a day. Commercial is generally more powerful for example if a home tanning bed has the same number of lamps
for example 24
then the voltage may be lower. Commercial tanning beds will typically use a 220v unlike the home version which will tend to use 110v.
Are there Different Types?
A commercial tanning bed can be found in two types. You have your typical tanning bed where you lay down during your tanning session. Then you have an upright unit also referred to as a stand-up commercial tanning bed. This type of unit gives you the ability to stand during your tanning session which tends to run around 8 min. This style also gives you the option of adding a dressing room to it so you can undress and tan all in the same unit.
The Benefits of Using a Commercial Tanning Bed
Ask any dermatologist what is the worst thing you can do to your skin and they will tell you exposing your skin to the sun's UV rays. By using a commercial tanning bed you can get skin that looks sun-kissed without the need to expose yourself to the damage that tanning in the sun can do.
By using a commercial tanning bed will also save you time. Unlike laying in the hot sun for hours
each tanning session on a commercial tanning bed will only run from 8 minutes to 15 minutes. The time for each session depends upon how many lamps are on the tanning bed and how many watts are generated during the session. So getting rich looking skin can actually be done during a lunch hour or quickly after work on your way home.
Does a Commercial Tanning Bed Come With a Warranty?
Almost every manufacture offers a warranty. The industry standard seems to be a 90-day on lamps
parts and labor. Then you have an additional 5 year limited warranty for manufacturing defects. Some manufactures cover other charges such as an extended labor-only warranty for the first 6 months.
Is their Financing Available for a Commercial Tanning Bed?
Yes there is financing available. Almost every manufacture offers financing for their tanning beds. Most offer a lease with an optional buy out at the end. This is a great way to go because you need to only come up with a first
last and security payment which is usually a very small payment. Then at the end of the leasing period you typically have a dollar buy out which means your last payment will be for $1 and the commercial tanning bed is now yours.

Abdominoplasty Recovery Time
Posted by
Best-Product
Much like Christmas presents
people want to show off their new bodies immediately after cosmetic surgery. This brings us to the issue of abdominoplasty recovery time.
Abdominoplasty Recovery Time
An abdominoplasty is a very common procedure in the field of plastic surgery. The procedure is popular because few
if any
of us can avoid a growing waist line as the years pass. Yes
we should be regularly exercising and dieting
but life has a way of getting in the way.
An abdominoplasty is designed to directly address the problem of the expanding waist. Although there are variations of the procedure
the essential idea is to remove excess fat and skin in the lower abdomen area. The surgery is very invasive in that large openings are made in the skin. The procedure takes place most often in a hospital and is performed under general anesthesia.
Abdominoplasty recovery time is a touchy subject for a very particular reason. By definition
the abdominoplasty is causing trauma to the abdominal area. This is
of course
the area of the body where you twist and bend
a fact that impacts recovery time more than most people expect.
In general
you can expect to be more or less incapacitated for up to two weeks. You will be home during this period
but expect soreness
lethargy and swelling to keep you in bed most of the time. After roughly two to four weeks
you should be able to return to work. After a month to six weeks
vigorous activity can usually be undertaken without restriction
but you should consult with your plastic surgeon regarding your specific situation.
As an aside
some people include scar healing as part of the determination of abdominoplasty recovery time. Your scar should heal fairly quickly
but it will take a much longer period of time before it smoothes out and fades. In this case
we are talking about three months of recovery time. In fact
it may take the scar up to two years to reach its final appearance.
Abdominoplasty recovery time is often a surprising subject for many patients. Your abdominal trunk is a key part of your body
so you just have to show patience.

you can expect to be more or less incapacitated for up to two weeks.

Abdominoplasty
known as a tuck
is a very common cosmetic procedure. If you are interested in potentially having the surgery
you need to know the typical prices.
Abdominoplasty Prices
Losing weight is the perennial battle as we grow older. It is the lucky soul who does not naturally gain weight as the years pass. Exercise and diet are undoubtedly the best way to attack this inevitable process
a fact repeated in the media and literature over and over. The problem
of course
is who has time given the hectic pace of life?
An abdominoplasty is one option for battling the bulge. The costs of the procedures
however
may come as a bit of a shock if you aren’t aware of them going in. The prices tend to be a bit high given the nature of the procedure.
While abdominoplasty is the name used for most cosmetic abdominal surgeries
there is not one procedure as suggested. In truth
procedures range from full tucks to mini-tucks and so on. The difference is purely a matter of what you are trying to achieve. As you might guess
a full tuck is going to take longer
which results in a higher price. Mini-tucks are more isolated and less expensive given the time in question.
Abdominoplasty prices vary greatly depending on a number of other practical issues. The location of the tuck procedure is going to have an impact
to wit
Beverly Hills surgeons charge much more than surgeons in Oklahoma City. Further
there seems to be a direct correlation between the number of times the surgeon has been on television and the price. If you must have a celebrity surgeon
you are going to pay for it.
In general
the cost of a full abdominoplasty will range from $4
0
to $7
0
dollars. Mini tucks will run as much as half of this figure
but the specific cost is entirely dependent upon what is being done.
Abdominoplasty prices can cause serious sticker shock when you first get an estimate. Remember
health insurance rarely pays for plastic surgery.

Abdominoplasty The Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty
or a “tummy tuck
” is a cosmetic surgery designed to correct a protruding abdomen that may result from weak abdominal muscles
weight gain
or pregnancy. These conditions may not respond well to diet or exercise if the skin and underlying muscles have been stretched
which makes this surgery possibly a necessity for someone who wants a decent shape back.
With a tummy tuck
the abdominal wall muscles are tightened and excess fatty tissue and skin are removed to improve the body’s shape and appearance. The goal is a narrower
flatter abdomen. Realistic expectations are important
and contrary to some beliefs
a tummy tuck is not a substitute for weight loss. Dieters should hit their ideal weight before going in for this procedure
and a woman who plans to become pregnant again in the future should wait until she’s finished having new children
otherwise this surgery may just be a waste of money.
Antibiotics will be prescribed prior to surgery to prevent infection. To minimize the possibility of excess bleeding
you will need to avoid taking drugs containing aspirin. You will also be advised to bathe with an antiseptic soap for several days prior to surgery. Abdominoplasty is performed using general anesthesia. Some doctors may give you medication beforehand to help you feel relaxed. Surgeries generally take anywhere from 2-5 hours
depending on the patient’s health and condition. Recovery time also varies greatly.
Some swelling and discomfort is normal after surgery
and general pain pills will help to get through this more comfortable. The doctor will provide the instructions you need for changing bandages
showering
and general care. As with any other medical surgery
it is always important to follow the doctor’s orders. The scars take time to fade
but they will fade over time. This is the cosmetic surgery that may take the most recovery time
but to someone who has been plagued by a “fat gut” despite doing everything right know how rewarding this procedure can be for them. A good diet and normal exercise routine after the surgery (and recovery time) will be of great benefit.

Abdominal Exercises Progression
Posted by
Best-Product
Because of tradition
abdominal exercises are often executed in long sets of 50
100
or even 200 repetitions. Friends even turn it into a contest:
- "I did 4 sets of 200!"
- "Really? I did 6 of 300."
Who would get the best results from their abdominal exercises in this scenario? No one. Here's why.
Long sets of abdominal exercises are not optimal if you want six pack abs. It's basic physiology: muscles grow better on heavy
medium-repetition (about 8-12) sets. Would you train your chest using 4 sets of 200 repetitions? I thought so. Abdominal muscles are no different
and they need to grow if you want them to show.
But let's say you can do 12 crunches. Do you stop there (since sets of 8-12 work best)? Of course not. You need to make the crunches harder by increasing the weight you lift every repetition. But how? By positioning your arms differently. Following are 3 arm positions you can use with all abdominal exercises to make them harder and more effective at building six pack abs.
1
Arms along your sides. Can't get any easier.
2
Arms crossed across your chest. Intermediate difficulty.
3
Hands behind your head.
4
Arms overhead. Can't get any harder
without adding external weights.
5
Arms crossed across your chest
with some external resistance (a plate or a heavy book
for example).
So
keeping with the crunch example
once you hit 12 repetitions with your arms along your sides
start your next set with your arms crossed across your chest.
Again
once you can do 12 repetitions with your arms crossed across your chest
start your next abdominal exercise set with your arms overhead.
Once your can do 12 repetitions with your arms overhead
you'll want to use some form of external weight (dumbbell
plate
dictionary
etc.). You can hold it across your chest (some people feel more comfortable that way) or at arm's length
overhead. The same principle also applies to all abdominal exercises: when you hit 12 repetitions
increase the difficulty by changing your arm's position.
Next time you're about to start a set of 200 crunches
try crossing your arms across your chest. See how many repetitions you can perform this way
and how the burn in your abdominals feel. Then drop me a line at my website below.

A Woman s Guide to Waxing Unwanted Hair

It's tough to be beautiful. There's the curling
the scrubbing
the coloring
the endless work
toil and sweat. It can also be painful. What woman hasn't suffered from a too-hot curling iron or too-sharp razor? But at the top of the list we find waxing. An essential task
to be sure
but also dicey. You want to make sure it's done right
quickly and will be effective with a minimum of pain.
Waxing is a relatively simply process
really. Think "wax on
wax off"
and you'll likely get the idea. Hot wax is applied to the area that needs hair removal
then quickly pulled off and unwanted hairs go with the wax. It can be fairly painful
but the pain is quick and the wax process
fortunately
doesn't need to be repeated very often.
Herewith are various types of waxes
from a lesser "ouch" factor to a mighty "ouch"!
*Eyebrow (ouch factor of 2) - Eyebrow waxing is a type of waxing you can do yourself at home
though it's never a bad idea to consult a professional. If you are going to wax your eyebrows yourself
you should always wax from below the eyebrow
not above. Take very little hair off at a time
and be careful of the hot wax being so close to your face. Because the skin above the eye is so sensitive
it's really recommended you consult a professional for this task.
*Full Face (ouch factor 2) - This involves removing the facial hair you might have around the mouth
cheeks
jaw and chin. You can do this yourself
perhaps even make the wax yourself
but again
experts recommend using a professional since the facial skin is so delicate.
*Legs (ouch factor 3-4) - This is probably the method of waxing most women are familiar with. In the summer
many women choose leg waxing as the preferred method for hair removal since it is generally considered superior to shaving and saves time in those busy summer months - a good leg wax can last as long as 8 weeks.
*Bikini (ouch factor 8-10+) - The big daddy of waxing
the various types of bikini waxes are not for the faint of heart. They are for women who want clean
cool nether regions for summer
and aren't too modest
since they should only be done by a trained and experienced professional. There are a few different types:
*Bikini - The basic bikini wax involves removing the pubic hair around the bikini panty line. This is delicate territory
so it's recommended you take an ibuprofen an hour or so before getting it done. But since there are more involved bikini waxes
we'll give this one an 8 on the pain scale.
*Full bikini - This is also known as a Brazilian bikini wax and it's the latest
hottest thing in waxes. Seven Brazilian sisters brought this wax to the United States and in a short period of time
this type of wax has overtaken any other bikini wax. In short
it's a full bikini wax
where only the pubic hair just around the labia is left. Otherwise
you're bald as an eagle
which might serve you if you wear a thong in the summer or just want to change your life
which is allegedly what Brazilian wax did for Gwyneth Paltrow. This is a full 10 on the pain scale
but many women claim it's the bomb.

A Woman s Guide to Removing Facial Hair

Many women experience unwanted facial hair and wish to have it removed. It can be due to genetics
age
medication or many women just want it removed for cosmetic reasons
like eyebrow hair. Women experience growth of unwanted facial hair during certain times of their life
such as puberty
pregnancy
and menopause. Regardless
there is a large population of women who want a safe
long lasting
and effective way to remove facial hair.
One way to remove facial hair is through shaving. Although the old wives tale that this will cause the hair it grow back thicker and faster is not true
many woman feel this is too masculine a way to remove facial hair. Plus
it only eliminates the problem for a short amount of time and may irritate sensitive skin.
One of the most common ways for women to remove facial hair is by plucking. They are probably already familiar with this due to plucking their eyebrows with a process. If they see a darker hair on their lip or chin
it is easy enough to pluck out. Plucking the hair removes it longer than shaving
but is still not the permanent solution for which many women are looking. Waxing is similar to plucking
but it can be more painful and is more likely to irritate sensitive skin. The same is true for creams that remove hair plus many of them have a bad smell. There is a skin cream called Vaniqa that decreases facial hair growth
but it is also only temporary and requires a prescription from a doctor.
You can purchase epilators with tweezers at most beauty stores
but the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stated that that is no statistically significant data to prove that tweezer epilators provide permanent hair removal. It may for some
and not for others. One factor may be the coarseness of your hair.
If you are looking for a method to remove facial hair permanently
try electrolysis. Electrolysis is the process by which facial hair is removed using electrical currents. A trained professional
often referred to as an electrologist or electrolysist
must perform this procedure. They take a metal probe and insert it into an individual hair follicle. The electrical current is then delivered to the follicle
destroying it. One the procedure is complete; the hair is removed with sterile forceps. Each hair follicle must be treated individually. The discomfort of this process varies among clients. Some have reported feeling a slight pinprick and some have reported a more painful feeling. As with many medical procedures
there is a chance of scarring
although it is minimal if you are using a well-trained electrologist. But
immediately after a hair follicle is treated
there may be a small
red lesion
much like an insect bite for a short time.
While electrolysis will permanently remove the hair
it may not be instantaneous. You may have to have several electrolysis treatments to the same hair follicle before the hair is completely removed. This is because your hair cells grow in cycles and electrolysis only works if the hair is in its growth phase. Many electrologists charge by the amount of time it takes to remove the hair. Ten minutes runs about $18 and 30 minutes costs about $34.
Another form of permanent facial hair removal is laser treatments. This is a new technology
only being offered commercially since the mid 1990s. This may also be referred to as phototricholysis or photoepilation. Like electrolysis
this may require several treatments before the hair is removed permanently. The laser light also feels like a pinprick to most patients. However
the laser treatments will not work on blonde
red
or white hairs. It will however work on areas that electrolysis will not
such as the ears and nose. Laser hair treatments for the upper lip normally run about $50 per session as does the chin treatments. If you have facial hair on your cheeks
those treatments are a little more expensive - around $75 per treatment.
If you decide to do electrolysis or laser treatments for your unwanted facial hair
you should always talk to your doctor first about any pre-existing conditions you might have that would make you an unlikely candidate for these treatments.
There is no need to be ashamed of having your unwanted facial hair treated. Do some research on the Internet to find the best way for you to have the hair removed. There is no doubt it will make you feel better about yourself.
